Benidorm 27-04-17. IMED awarded in the category of “International Dialysis Center of the Year” on the IMTJ Medical Travel Awards 2017 gala that took place in Opatija (Croatia). According to the bases of the award, the organization pointed that “the award was searching the recognition of the dialysis center that showed the biggest success in satisfaction and attraction of international patients that need this service during their holidays”. In the gala there were medical centers, MTF, consultants, health resorts, specialized clinics and all sorts of companies from all over the world that deal with health tourism.
Some of the achievements because of IMED Levante dialysis center (Benidorm) it is been awarded is their clear vocation to international patients attention that visits our country. In IMED Levante dialysis center we have 15 dialysis spaces (4 of them are for seropositive patients) that are on the 6th floor of the hospital, with stunning views from Benidorm landscape and its surroundings. The jury members appreciated specially the satisfaction level declared by the patients that used this service. IMED has a team with nurses specialized in dialysis that speak different languages as English, German, Netherlands or Norwegian.
The manager from the international program from IMED Hospitals, Yolanda Pickett, picked up the award and she wanted to “thanks this international recognition in the name of all the staff of the group and specially from those who offer a direct dialysis service, mostly nurses and doctors”. Pickett pointed out “the commitment of IMED to offer a dialysis service of high quality that means to always take care of the human factor”.
IMED Hospitals was awarded in 2016 for their “Use of new technologies applied to health tourism”, and this second award confirms their bet on health tourism and international patients attention through a prepared structure to develop this objective.
Some other awarded that night were the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, the Moorfield Eye Hospital Dubai (Arab Emirates), the center France Surgery or the medical tourism agency Junomedical of Germany.
